Peer

Ralph Peer and the Making of Country Music with Barry Mazor and Shawn Camp

Saturday, November 15 • 1:30 p.m.

Most music executives receive little public attention, despite their pivotal roles in making performers' achievements possible. Ralph Peer, a pioneering talent scout, record producer, music publisher, and artist manager, shaped country music's emergence as a commercial art form and led to his election to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1984. In this multi-media program, author Barry Mazor will explore Peer’s work with Jimmie Rodgers, Ernest V. “Pop” Stoneman, the Carter Family, and other country greats. LEARN MORE Social Media Copy: Join Barry Mazor and @shawnscamp for a look back at the career of music executive Ralph Peer on 11/15! http://bit.ly/1qB650T.
